We have the Snorkel 666 as a model ID in the list so for now I'll tag this watch accordingly unless someone has another suggestion.

My question - to the panel. Is 'Snorkel / 666' a sub classification to "Oceanographer" or vice versa? I personally believe the former. I thinks there was, in the early 60's a watch called "Snorkel" but this is much later.

Either way it is a very nice example, glad you're onboard pato.

Pato242, nice watch.

I wonder if you could correct the Movement Model to 11BLACD? And, are both the case back and movement stamped M9? Thanks.

Darren

Hi DarHin

Thank you for making me aware of the Movement model ,( i have corrected it ) also i just removed the back for the first time , Very nice looks even better in the real , had a look and yes both r marked M9 so i am thinking this is a  good thing ?? as i said i am new to this and have a few nice ones but this is the best so far!

Thankx Pato

Pato, if the date code on the movement is no more than 2 years older or 1 year newer than the case date code then more likely than not that it is the original movement. Thanks.

Geoff,

"OCEANOGRPHER"

It seems the "SNORKEL" became a sub- specie of.

Based on that ad above, subject watch case is similar to "Ocenaographer" variant "M".

For this series, I think terms like "Snorkel" are names given to subset of variant letters of Oceanographers.  The "M" variant is unique to the ad you link above.  Snorkel is used for several variants in the series, but not all variants.
Snorkel term is a subset of Oceanographer's.  Variant "M" is both a subset of "Snorkel" and subset of "Oceanographer".

Now what do we do?  As long as we are consistant across the board, and use some ad-based reasoning, we are good until more ads/info surface.
