HI i just joined and was looking for any info on this watch

the circuits look different from others ive seen here?

what does unadjusted mean in the last photo?

any recommendations on a place to get it in working order or should i just put a battery in it?

is it 40 micron AU layer?

thanks

Hi Billy, welcome to myBulova. To answer your questions - the 'circuits' are standard Accutron, "Unadjusted" is watch movement jargon. "Adjusted' movements are designed to be accurate in different positions (dial up, dial down, dial right, left etc.). Because Accutron is tuning fork regulated, there is no need for adjustment. Accutron service is a bit pricey because of the specialty tools required - I'll send you a private message with a suggestion. I would not run it without service. Finally, 40 micron is the gold thickness.

Agree, Accutron Calendar, variant unknown, If it has been sitting that long, I would recommend having a qualified Accuton watchmaker service it, chances are the oil is dried up or gummy and starting it could damage the coils or fork, which will get real costly to repair.

I agree with Old Ticker, take it to an authorized Accutron repairman and have it serviced and a new battery installed.

1970 accutron 218-1. The first in the 218 series.
