Watch Description

Contained a 301 battery with stepped side down when I obtained it and it was not running.  The inside message "use only ACCUTRON 218 installed with stepped side up" was covered by a blank piece of tape.  I read somewhere that installing battery with the wrong polarity would damage the watch.  Also I looked at many, many photos of Accutron movements and never saw this one.  Is the movement original?  What is the correct battery and polarity.  Is there any way to check for a burned out coil with an ohmeter before installing new battery?

Nice watch old dog- I love the tortoise shell dial! Can you confirm 14k solid gold case?

I'm thinking 1971 Bulova Accutron Calendar CL - here's an advert

Thanks guys, at least I now know the name of the model.   The back is marked 14K and I checked the case with a test kit.  Now if I can only figure out the battery I'll find out if it is working or not.
