Watch Description

Well this guy is a bit of a doughnut.  Big on the wrist for the age and pretty unique. Someone cranked on the back trying to get it off and looks like he couldn't suceed.  I tried a bit but it's on there pretty good, thus no pics of the movement. Automatic 23 Jewel... Maybe a "Golden Clipper"? It's almost a flat yellow gold color... Darker blue dial.  Gold accented dash numbers.

Love the size and shape. Probably too large for your dainty wrist :-)

The Golden Clipper is 17J so not one of these.  I believe we have two or three in Unknowns that are also 23J.   Unknown for me.

When you first texted me the photos the other day my first impression was also Clipper but Clipper was not a 23 j watch as this is. Here's one we discussed five years ago, it appears the same. I'm looking through line books but.......

PS - I love it

Great watch, it just screams 1970's.......I'm at a loss on ID. Issue being 17 vs. 23J.

Here is a similar one. Like that one , I put forth the idea that based on non-standard s/n "X(space)XXXXXX" and Geoff's  noted example "XX(DOT) XXXXX" that this may be an international not sold in the US. Too bad you can't open it to see if the movement has an import code.

Just my thoughts and observations,

Unknown for me at present, sorry.

I fell for the same trick again!!! Back to unknown inline with the other example we have.
