A great example of the Snorkel, getting very much sought after these days.

I'm assuming there is an N3 on the caseback?

I couldn't find an ad but with the name on the dial I will agree.

Bulova Snorkel

As a bit of a legalist when it comes to naming watches, I'm torn. While the word 'Snorkel' is clearly visible on the dial, I don't believe Bulova named (in adverts) any watch Snorkel post 1968. Having said that I'll probably be a lone dissenter but I think this is the Oceanographer model.

BTW - the watch is fabulous! As the Reverend states, this is a highly prized model. The chances of finding one with a pristine bezel like this are very small. Great watch Camu.

1973 Bulova Oceanographer - tentative Snorkel. I can go either way, as it is on the dial  along with "666" feet. and was confirmed as a model name/ Oceanographer subset.

I agree with Geoff about the Snorkel name not being used past 1968. I agree this one is the Oceanographer "G".

Great looking Oceanographer watch!

Technically,  it is an Oceanographer, as Geoff has pointed out. Bulova did some odd things with names- what may have started out on some watches as a model, later becomes merely a feature printed on the dial.

1973 Oceanographer.
