Watch Description

No matter what, this is a beautuiful piece with the heart-shaped links and case in 14K Gold and dual diamonds at both ends of the bezel.  Unfortunately there are no Bulova markings anywhere on teh case or band. The movement is a 3AK, 17-jewel, unadjusted.  You can just barely make out the 'B' in Bulova on the dial and its slanted as though in cursive.  I'm trying to decide between 3 different crystals to replace the original that has a scratch. I'm wondering if this could possibly be an example of  the 'Starburst' series?

Wow, over the top on this one! A very fancy watch indeed. Seems like the solid gold watches are amongst the hardest to accurately ID as they often had non-standard case markings. Normally, at first blush I'd say it was a custom job but Bulova was doing some pretty wild designs in this time period. Yes. it could be a Starburst, it could be a Dior model variant or maybe even a La Petite but I just don't know. I looked through the adverts, I don't see a match.

For now, Unknown.

What a beautiful watch.  I'm also going with Unknown.

There were sooo many similar watches with these charoctoristics advertised by Bulova that this one could simply be a model/variant for which we don't yet have an ad.

I don't want to throw the baby out with the bath water.  Unknown is safe/reasonable way keep this great watch on our radar.

Glad I could add to the pot.  I also looked for any advertisement around this time period and will continue my search.  For now, Unknown seems to be the consensus and thank you all so much for the input.
