Watch Description

Here is a very nice 218, electroplate case is excellent and the dial is mint. Difficult to find with the date above the six. There is another model with day date, day  below twelve and date above six but they are fairly difficult to find especially in good condition. This configuration always sells at a premium.

Here's what Ranfft reports for Accutron and Accuquartz jewel counts:

214 - 15 jewels

218 - 13 jewels

219 -  8 jewels

221 - 15 jewels

224 - 13 jewels  (Accuquartz)

230 - 13 jewels

Great, thanks! It is somewhat odd that the tiny 221 movement has 15 jewels. I did look at one of mine last night and, as mentioned, no jewel count on the movement. Checked my copies of the service manuals and jewel counts weren't given there, either. I think the 219 movement is the only Accutron movement that was truly "simplified" to reduce costs.  IIRC, they sold for as little as $75 at the end of the Accutron run. I have a few and, properly serviced and set up, they run well and keep good time. The Accuquartz 221 movement has turned into one of my favorites. I have 6 of those and one is unbelievably accurate -  lost only 3-4 seconds in almost 5 months!

Didn't we find an ad for this one...or a very similar ad which gave the color combo and model number?  Generic Calendar for now.
