Watch Description

I picked this up at a junk shop for $5. So I'm thinking with the date code of N4 that this is a 1974. My concern is do you think this is authentic. I'm curious as to the Red Second Hand. I know some of these were made after the railroad additions in the early 70's. Can anyone verify what I have here? Thanks!

Well for funs and grins, I decided to buy one of those 387s batteries off ebay for the accutron. I got the battery today, took out the 394, put the 387s in and WHALAAAAA. She hums and is running like a charm so far.

I was worried about battery replacement, because unless the watch is adjusted for the new batteries, it will run fast.  So you might want to keep track of that.  I think the Spaceview watch is just unbelievable.  I am showing mine to my jewler on Saturday to see if he can service the one I bought for a friend.  It didn't have a box so I found one on Ebay that came with tags and papers. It was $187, and I think worth every cent.  The box doubles the value of the watch.  What you might want to do is check Ebay for the box.  I found a 14k Spaceview, from 1961, in like new condition, with boxes and papers for $1296.00.  I think I got a bargain.  I love to wear it, and it sits on my desk.  lol.  No one has anything like it, and it is possibly the first skeleton watch.  It's pretty hard to beat a Bulova.

I edited my original picture to add after I changed out crystal and band. New picture for the database. Thanks!
