Also, A Saint Michael's charm sits on the right side - unmarked, not sure if it's of the same material as the marked case

Oh I have been waiting for one of these to show up. Thank you for posting.  I believe this is a first for this model on MyBulova.  This is from the Bulova "Skinny Bangle" series.

In this case, the charm seems to be added at a later date and not part of the initial setup. Will be sending the watch for a cleanup and a check. Would you recommend the charm removed? Also, the suede seems like a challenge to clean - there are slight signs of oxidation on some of the metal parts - suggestions on how to address this without harming the matte finish?

If possible you might just be able to focus your cleaning efforts on on the raised elements of the dial. A sharpened wooden peg might work with removing the oxidation on the raised metal parts. If you can remove the oxidation on those parts so show the gold color, I think that would make that dial pop.
