I've searched the data base and the closest I can come is in the second page of the adverts' slide #10 but I can't make it out well enough to tell. It has a hinged case that say's Pat. Jan. 11 1927, Bulova 14K Gold Filled, New York. Case measures 26.75mmx26.75mm. The 9AT movement has a dust cover.

Does this advert found by Bobbee help any. Bottom right corner - sub-dial...probably not much.

Ok, I'm posting as a tentative Senator.

Even when panel vote in favour of unknown?
Obviously the panel is not needed.
That ad is for the earlier Senator and the lugs are different.

The majority vote is for a tentative Senator.
Fifth, Will, Darhin, JP and myself.

Unknown had, Geoff, Shawn and Bobbee

That's 5 to 3 in favor of a tentative Senator.

Will had voted Unknown in his last post, JP has not voted since all the evidence was put forward and a vote was asked for.

Who cares any way, democracy seems to have taken a back seat again.

Bobbee please read back through the entire thread and count off what members have said. JP, as all members have had, has had ample time to review the information on the watch and vote and re-vote accordingly. To suggest that this process is undemocratic is unfair.

Will has indicated that he would be happy with a tentative Senator call.

Bobbee, what we are doing here isn't a life and death issue, it's really not that big a deal to be honest. Who cares if we get it wrong? What's the worst that can happen. We often get caught up in trying to be 'right' and prove one another wrong and to have the definitive answer. Who made us the authoritive organization on vintage Bulova's. We are a community of like minded watch collectors and enthusiasts trying to do our best to help others identify and provide general information about old Bully's.

I counted the votes as they stand.

Is the ID set in stone? No.

You are absolutely right Stephen, and I have been taking it all too seriously, something that has now been rectified.

This site is meant to be a fun place to learn and discuss all things vintage Bulova.

When we start taking things too seriously and let others comments upset us then we loss that fun aspect and that then starts to damage the site.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion and a say, as long as it is done within the spirit of the site and in a kind and friendly manner. We are alll different people with a common passion. Lets focus on our passion and try and have some fun.
