Hi Cfactory01. Your watch looks like it could be the "Celestine" from this 1934 ad.

Welcome to myBulova Cfactory01. This is a nice little ladies watch. I'm a big fan of family heirloom watches because they're so personal to the owners. They're a part of a persons every day life. I think you're very lucky to have great grandmothers watch!

I think you hit the nail on the head Alan, that it's a 1934 Celestine. Nice ad find.

why does the case say June 10, 1924 but the ad came out for the watch 1934?  THank you

I think you will see something like "patented June 10, 1924" Cfactory01. That's the Bulova patent date and not the date your watch was made. Going by the case serial number you provided, the case would have been made in 1932. The first ad for your watch may have came out before 1934. I used the 1934 ad because it was the first one I found showing your watch model. I hope this clears things up a little for you.

That particular patent date refers to the "Dust tite" cellulose movement cover.  Bulova had at least two patents of this technology.  The second was 1927.  The ladies watches (movement size) usually continued to use the earlier "Dust Tite" cover up through the early 1930's, while most mens size watches switched over to the 1927 dust tite patented design at that time.  Not sure what the difference btwn the two patents was.

and it looks like the band is different and maybe even the hands on the face are different.  thoughts?

I think the hands in the ad and the ones on your watch are the same blue steel modern hands. The band could have been a little different on your 1932 version from the 1934 version in the ad I posted or it could have gotten a replacement band sometime in the past.
