This is my favorite Buolva. it is a tonneau shaped stainless steel case with a beautiful brushed champagne dial. It has applied minute markers and printed Bulova Automatic on the dial. It has a Date window. The case back is marked with a stylized RV ? and Swiss and 7688. I cannot find any date codes. It measures 42MM x 36MM.
Interesting and attractive watch. The absence of a 2 digit date code on movement and case seems to indicate 80's or newer?
Is there a 3 letter import code stamped anyplace on the movement? If not, my only guess would be a unknown date model from the International series produced and marketed outside the US.
Unknown for me for now.

The case number 7688 is not listed in the 1974 case book, but it is listed in the 1979 supplement book. The case number does not represent the date code, so the 76## would not represent 1976. However, the watch has a 70s feel to it in my opinion and could be dated to the late 70s or even early 80s. Any chance there is a datestamp on the right side of the rotor, an N#?
