Watch Description

Beautiful example of Mens (admin edit - this is a mans watch) Bulova 23 Jewel watch. The Dial for its age is stunning and hour and minute markers are almost perfect and a great find. How ever it has fair wear and tear to the case and bezel but lugs are perfectly straight. Under the serial number gives L6 1956. I have seen different Adverts for this model and the Case stays the same but gives diffrent variations of Dials. Watch gives Speed readings on Timegrapher and are very eratic indicating Servicing required such as poor main spring tension and Rotor is Rocking but is very clean inside. If anyone can provide advice on how to tackel such a jem as this please advice. Please see photos and thanks for looking.

Good looking example. If you go to the NAWCC website they list watchmakers by area.

All of the 23 'E', and white dial 'F', ads that I can find show the dials as being non-luminous, and no mention of luminous in the descriptions. I am in agreement that this is the 'E', but note the luminous dial may not be correct for this particular variant.

Hi gazza_1975, this is a classic example of the Bulova 23 watch, thanks for sharing it. Note that I edited your comments above to state that this is actually a Men's watch, not a ladies model.

Thanks Geoff wasnt sure if it was Mens as it has a fairly small Bezel but 50's style seems to be the go then. Thanks for Rating it and working out what style it is. Now I need to work out servicing
