Watch Description

I thought this looks like a Brewster model but I could not find any descriptions mentioning the two tone case. Inside the case says Pat. Jan 11 1927 Bulova New York 14K Rolled Gold Plate. There is one small wear through on the  back case corner.  This was very hard to get a photo showing the yellow gold running vertically on either side of the crystal the full length of the lugs. The face has radium numbers and cathedral hands both look original and are in very good condition.

I'd say the dial is not original and has been redone at some point,

Could be, but would definitely be an older redial, possibly 1940's?

Is it me or is the scrolling on each side different?  Maybe it's just the picture.

Now you are going to make look again when I get home tonight.  In the picture it does look like the scrolling goes up one side and down the other, but it will be late before I can look closer.

Here's one just like it with a slightly different face that passed through my hands about 10 years ago.

I have been hunting an name for this model for three years now. No luck yet! Fifth came up with a 1930 news paper ad, but it didn't have a name.

Here is an unknown tonneau that also incorporates the wave engraving pattern

ad is Dated 1930

The Watch appears in the right column directly below the MISS AMERICA'.

Several in the database - 1929-'30 'UNKNOWN'

yeah, I saw that ad in the data base but also noticed no name.  I noticed that about half there did not list any name for the model being described.  There were ads (1929) that did not have very good resolution that I think showed a model named Brewster but I couldn't read the informatioon well enough.

It's not the 'BREWSTER', there's a discussion in the archives I will see if I can locate it.
