Thank you for adding the movement. I took a look through the ads we have for the late 70's and did not find a match. Unfortunately we do not have a great deal for this time period. Great looking watch. Thank you for sharing and hopefully an ad will come up at some point.

Popularly known as the Bulova 'Royal Oak', although I can pretty much guarantee that is not its real name.
Possibly only identified as a model number at this point. Rumoured to be a Gerald Genta design, and looks like the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak enough that it should have invited a lawsuit, yet this did not happen.
Was it because GG himself licensed it to Bulova? At the time this watch was released in 1979, the AP Royal Oak had been in production for 7 years. One would expect that AP would take exception to seeing such an obvious copy of their watch.
