I have my fathers Bulova square self winding 23 jewel gold coloured watch. Several years ago there was a post from an individual who had the identical watch. He was looking for the history but it was proving difficult. I’m looking to connect with this person. It was thought the watch was manufactured around 1957 and that there were four pins that held it together.

Is this the watch and post you are referring to? It's the only reference I could find for 'four pins' and seems to match your description.
