9AN

Submitted by DennisVA on March 22, 2012 - 8:31pm

I am looking for a pallet fork for a Bulova 9AN, if anyone has one for sale or trade please let me know.

Does anyone know if there are any models that will interchange with a 9AN?

My books don't include it.

Thanks, Dennis

according to My information the 9AN is a font 1146, not a Watchmaker but hope this is helpful as I do not see an intercheange for the part between Bulova Movemements.

The FHF 1146 came in 5 different sizes. The one Bulova used as their 9AN, (among others) is 9.75'''.  The other sizes would not be interchangeable. The other Bulova movt codes are:

9A, 9AA, 9AAI, all 9.75'''. These are interchangeable.

Could you guys help me with what is compatible with a 6AP movement. I saw a set of interchangeable parts that IM going to buy but that doesn't help now.

Hi Gerard, My book showes a 6AP as a stand alone movement, which means it doesn't interchange.

Sorry,

Dennis

The 6AP is an Aurore-Villeret calibre 8. Bulova used the AV movts a lot early on, and this one would be circa 1929. It was similar to other oval movts of the time and was quite popular. Other than this identification, it does not interchange with other Bulova movts.
