I am a new member and I recently posted a question in this forum topic with no response, I have been collecting vintage Bulovas for a while but have been bitten by the Accutron bug. I don't want my 214 to become a paperweight so I'm looking for a highly recommended repair person preferably near me in the Hudson Valley area of NY. Thanks for your help,Jim W.
Jim, send me a PM and I will answer it back with the name of the best 214 guy around up there and he only works on 214's and is super reasonable. He will fix/service your 214 including parts except coils or tuning fork for around $150.00. I had him do my personal 214 RR approved and it came back looking and running like it was brand new and that was over a year ago. I will probably have to replace the battery at least twice before it has to go back for full service again.
