Bulova Watch Box

Submitted by Winston on November 12, 2013 - 10:44am

Hi Everyone,

I'm brand new to the forum, having just acquired a beautiful Bulova Oceanographer Snorkel 666 diver that I absolutely love the look and feel of.  Having been a long time collector of vintage divers of all makes and models, this is the first Bulova, outside of a nice little Sea King that I had some years ago that I wish that I had kept, but we all know that story too well.  Anyhow, I'm looking for an approriate Bulova watch box to accomodate my diver, which dates to 1970 (N0).  It's the larger (41mm) tonneau cased version with the crazy little acrylic indices.  I think that the watch box is octagonal in shape and blue in color with gold lettering.  Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.  Looking forward to being a member of this great website.

Thanks,

Mike

Sorry I can't help. Good luck though. There are a few members who have some interesting boxes in their collection and may be able to help.

Hi Mike, welcome to myBulova, I'm anxious to see photos of your new watch. I'm a fan of those late 60's and early 70's Oceanographers. The blue octagon clam shell is the easiest to find, I suggest heading over to our favorite auction site (ebay) and start searching. If you're lucky you'll find one with the outer storage box to go with it. You might also consider the clear top clam shell with the orange interior as they show up often as well.

Here's the two dollar tour of the Bulova box world:

Thanks much guys!  As I'm not much of an eBay user, I'm hoping to find one from a collector like me.  I will try to get some photos up ASAP.
