Dior anyone?

Submitted by FifthAvenueRes… on November 22, 2010 - 11:16pm

In the early 70's Christian Dior, a well known fashion designer, designed a limited edition line of watches for Bulova. I've searched the net and written docmentation concurs that the event did indeed take place, but images a few and far between. I recently had opportunity to aquire a 'Bulova Dior' and did so, a  ladies version with the intent to restore and sell, we shall see as I haven't found it in Me to sell one of the watches I've purchased, restored to date. This one may be easier to let go, matching shoes could be an issue.

: )

Although not antique, it is vintage and of interest to the Bulova brand - The watch is not yet in hand and the images are, well not so great. Can anyone verify or discount that this piece  is a Christian Dior designed Bulova?

I've seen them advertised before in a few old ads. I'll have to try and hunt them down, but I'm sure I've seen them.

It will be nice to see better photos when you recieve the watch. Movement looks nice.

Just found this image depicting the movements used in the larger cased Ladies Diors as a 3AR, a match. Looks like we have something.
