lol!

Hey J,

While I'm thinking about it:

I saw a dial cleaning performed by Gus's in Chicago. A much better option for Your 'BLACKOUT' than a complete redial IMO. Keeps the watch original.

Bob's people I believe, nice job.

I'm wondering who you mean Mark?  Bob do you have an web address to these guys?

Plainsmen.

I saw a Dial that had been CLEANED by Gus, not REFINISHED according to the owner. There's a difference, especially to collectors and it looked good. As Bob had stated in a post a few weeks ago for a watch to be considered 'MINT' by a collector its Dials' finish must remain ORIGINAL.

(~opens can of worms~)

Of coarse some Dials are so far gone they can't be cleaned, so refinishing or replacement is the only option.

I have their phone number if You're interested.

ML

P.S. International Dial may also be offering cleaning at this time, not 100% sure.

You can either post it or email it Mark.  I'm interested in seeing what these guys have to offer.

Thanks...

Hi Guy's

Gus's is not my guy, I never heard of them. When I saw that original post I got interested though. Tried to look them up but couldn't find them. Mark could you post their address or phone number?  I tried to clean a dial the other day using one of those wipes for glasses ( saw it on the web) didn't make much of a difference. Then I used a q-tip with alcohol on it. Still not very successful. At least I didn't do any damage.
