Hello Iowahaklady, Nice watch and in great condition. Your going to have to look at the movement to date it accurately, I would think it's 40's, but on the movement will be a date symbol. Is it gold or gold filled, should tell you on the back somewhere. The stones are probably genuine.

Hi Philip, I took the back off and found a round piece of paper which I snapped a picture of to post and on the movement it says 17 seventeen jewels, Swiss and a triangle, When you say stones are genuine which stone are you referring too the ones on the band? The stones on the watch I believe are diamonds. Also I may add that on the band it says Pat. Pend, I also wonder if the band is Gold as it is very sturdy and still has a safety chain. I am very sure that this is all the original band as it was my mothers and possibly her mothers however I dont know how old it is if the triangle is the date then it must of been her mothers as my mother was born in 1926. This is so very interesting she passed away quite young and I have had it since 81 in a box, I appreciate all your help I have another old watch this is so interesting!! Please examine the photo I am sending I am sure it came with the watch as I dont believe it has ever been opened!!

The Triangle dates the movement to 1926, 1935, or 1945, and the style is '40s, so I go with '45 or '46 but I have yet to find it in any ads. I dont know about the diamonds in the band  (back then they all tend to be real) but its very likely those on the watch are real. The band should be the same gold content as the watch ( top pieces if the bottom is stainless)

Ive found paper like that as well, likely from a jeweler that serviced it before. Most would scratch, very finely, info into the inside case back telling in a sort of code who what and when it was serviced (will likely need magnification to read it, sometimes to even see it but you can probably see what looks like scratches in the case)

the case should also have a gold content stamp somewhere (on the back usually, sometimes on the main case if its solid gold)

If you click (top of page) on information - then vintage Bulova ads you can search for this one as well by year. Click the add, then on the lower rt corner of the ad it may be enlarged again.

Very nice watch !!!!

Man these ladies watches are the worse to Id , too small and tiny ad pics lol your price point is more realistic I would say, with the diamonds and all...
