ladies watch movement

Submitted by dave67 on November 7, 2011 - 7:04am

I'm hoping someone here can help me. I have a ladies bulova that i got at an auction for only a few dollars because it doesn't work.  After looking around this site i know the case is from 53 and looks like an american girl but the movement is from 47 . the movement is 68oc, and i can't find any mention of this movement on this site. Is this worth getting fix, i'd like to give it to my wife for christmas.

That will be a 6BOC. Not a common movement. Likely a nurses watch?  I believe the 'C' after two or more letters denotes "central" second hand. such as 10BUC or 10 BPAC etc
