OT Why just limit this to Bulova's ??

I suspect most if all of us here do not limit ourselves to the Bulova brand although they are the most common and are readily available. But my personal collection although not all that large also has a few Elgins,Hamiltons,Gruens and other misc.brands that are mostly "Unknows",would like to get further info on these but don't know where to go to.I suspect there are many knowledgeable members who could shed some light on these but as this is dedicated to Bulovas and I hesitate to ask.So what do other members think of this proposal?

Could also offer the For Sale Forum to other brands as I hesitate to sell on the Bay.Just read some of the posts in their Community in the Paypal section.Scares hell out of me that there are so many scammers and idiots out there.eBay does very little to protect the seller!! not to mention the atrocious fees and rules.

Just a thought.....

There are already groups for Hammys, Elgins, Gruens out there but there was not a dedicated group for Bulova, hence Stephen setting this up.

As a dealer as well as collector I also have an interest in many other makes but don't ferequent those sites often because Bulova is the biggest passion for me. If I do need information or want to share details on another brand however I just go to the relevent site.  No need to muddy the waters of what is a very useful and dedicated site to Bulova's in my opinion

Stan, it's a very good question. This site and the community that has grown from it could well be duplicated for other watch brands. I dare say some of them do have something similar available. I certainly hope so anyway as it would be a shame if they didn't.

Maybe what we have here in our myBulova community is unique, in which case I sincerely hope that others with a passion for Hamilton, Elgin, Benrus, Gruen etc can take something from this site and start their own.

My original idea behind the site was to focus on Bulova as I thought they lacked the most in information, something I found (like my here) very fustrating considering Bulova's size, history and heritage.

It's now nice to see that this is no longer the case and that we have 'all' helped put vintage Bulova watches back up there with the rest of the wonder American watch brands.

GJ sums it up best though.......no need to muddy the waters......
