Seriously gents... is there anything more exciting....

Submitted by plainsmen on December 21, 2010 - 7:29pm

(other than the obvious answer as we're men)

Than stalking your prey (watch) and getting ready for the pounce (final bid/offer)..... and then POUNCING!!!! (SNIPING/ACCEPTED OFFER!!!!)

GRASPING YOUR PREY (watch) in your claws and digging into is jugular!! (ends with you as high bidder)

And then of course prancing around in front of your mate with the dead baby gazelle (your new cool watch) grasped in your jaws (paypal checkout box)??!!

IS THERE!!!???

Muah.. muahh... MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!

Talking about dogs

I went to the Petco store today after lunch. The one where you can take the dog in the store & fit the stuff for the dog in the store. My wife had her pint-sized long haired female Chihuahua to fit her for a harness. I had my quart-sized long haired male named Paco. I was watching my wife fit the harness and I felt a full on quart-sized tug on Paco's leash. When I turned around, he was attacking a Pit Bull and bit him in the leg. Thank goodness the pit bull had a muzzle on. I pulled him back & the owner of the pit bull said I'm going to the manager if you don't take that killer dog outside. The guy was cool and we had a good laugh about it. That pit bull looked embarrased. LOL

Happy Holidays to all of You & Yours

I feel left out! I just won an auction for a very early Executive. I have the unfinished hour hand that Bob needs to help authenticate his LE 5000. I also will auction off the cathedral minute for a starting bid of!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'll think about it!

If you promise to put it to good use and maybe return the favour one day I'll post it to you tomorrow. Just send me your address to the admin@mybulova address.

It's for a vintage Bulova right ;-)

Just checking it's one of these that you need. I have an un-painted one.

I think another lion just pounced on the baby gazelle's leg you were going to get and then that lion ran off with the leg into the bush where you didn't get a chance to steal it back.

You have seen this watch before on another channeI. I am trying to make this baby authentic. Also I need a 10AN movement. Has a 1941 10AE in it now.

Stephen Ollman

Certainly have :-)

Are we calling this a Governor variant?

I also have a few spare (missing balance wheel assembly) 10AN movements. I'd have to check to see what dates they are (29,30 etc)

Let's call it something. I have an identical, minus the engraving. A  missing hands version but Wayne's endevours have certainly given one hope....and who said there's no such thing as Santa Claus?

Wayne Hanley

Stephen

I'll call it anything you want if I can get it authentic. 29-30 should be correct!

My Grandaughter Heather stopped by today, she is a model and will be in LA for xmas. My wife and I took her out to lunch today to celebrate her 20th birthday. I gave Heather my classic 1939 Senator with exploding dial for her birthday.  To see her appreciate that watch & immediately put it on & tell me she would cherrish it for the rest of her life, beats any auction I ever won.

Happy Holidays Everyone

Wow!!  Nice find Stephen!  She's gorgeous!  I'm sure you had to stalk her through the bush quite a while before you took your trophy there!  Haha...

Here's my 1976 Bulova "Native American"

She runs a little fast, and is a bit tempermental, but I'd not trade her for any of the cheap new models!
