Vintage American Airlines Watch with Old Style Logo

Submitted by teeoter on August 7, 2013 - 12:21pm

Hi Guys,

I'm a newby on this site and hope someone can answer my question.  Several months ago I missed out on an old round face Bulova watch with the old style Eagle logo (pre 1960) on the face at the 6 o'clock position.  I figured I would see another one so didn't worry to much. I have found nothing that resembles that watch in any fashion.  Perhaps it was an anniversary watch or retirement watch or something.  I would greatly appreciate any info and/or picture someone might have regarding this type of watch.  Thanks again for your time.

Bulova never had an eagle logo on their watches. Are you sure it was a Bulova?

The only animal they have put on a dial that I know of is a whale, indicating its waterproof certification. No eagle though.

Has anyone else seen this?

I have not seen anything similar to it.

I think he's saying that the watch has the old style American airlines eagle logo printed on the dial.

I think you are correct as in a company printed logo o the dial. The watch in question could be any one of a  hundred different models or variants Buova made during that period. Certainly worth keeping an eye out though.

I'm not sure about the AA logo'd Watch in question but missed out on this one June 1 2013, a Day which remains in infamy.
