Bulova 1972 Beau Brummell
Another "What the heck is that?" purchase. Simulated Tiger Eye dial with diamonds at 12, 3, and 9. Case back has an additional number (72288) stamped on it which I don't believe I've ever encountered. This one is the yellow gold brother of this one. Lugs are a single piece and band clamps on. Band has a closure that I don't believe I have ever seen before either. It looks like a fold over, but acts like a buckle, just as shown in 1971 linebook 177 referenced in linked "AZ" variant.
Another first for the database. 1972 Beau Brummell "BC" on original band and keeping time.

Bulova 1957 Beau Brummell
My Grandfather bought this watch new. He died in 1989. My father had the watch stored since. I just received the watch. I have yet to be able to open up the case to review movement. But will do when I am able and document for the group. Cream face with with diamonds and separate second hand provision

Bulova 1964 Beau Brummell
Watch is very clean and appears to keep time. Diamonds at 12, 3, 6 and 9. White gold filled with a silver dial.
I believe this is a 1964 Beau Brummell "C" per 1964 linebook 158.
Watch came to me on a stiff leather band all the way from Arizona, I wish it could talk.... I love the inscription on this one. Before I purchased it, I researched the inscription and found him. My first house was 1/2 way in between where Earl lived and the Frito-Lay plant in NY (10 mi. total). When the wind was just right, we could smell Fritos in our yard. Earl died in 2015 at the age of 82. His obit lists him as honorably serving in the Army and retiring from Frito Lay. I believe this watch was gifted to him by his friends for some other reason than retirement. He would have only been 32 in 1965. Based on his age, he would have been drafted for the Korean War and served his tour. Perhaps he left Frito Lay in 1965 to re-up to serve during early Vietnam, and returned to work after again serving, then worked to retirement. Pure sleuthing speculation.

Bulova 1964 Beau Brummell
I initially opened this one when I received it, and had a heck of a time getting the case back ring to line up to re-install. Unfortunately, I neglected to photograph it or record movement model. It has mechanical issues yet to be addressed.
Diamonds at 2, 4, 8 and 10 on a white dial with gold diamond shaped indices and a record groove pattern center. Recessed crown. This appears to be a first for the database. According to 1960linebook, it's a = 1964 Beau Brummell "HH"

Bulova 1970 Beau Brummell
Here is an interesting one with uncommon solid lugs, like wire lugs. Case interior is ink stamped "3068", which loosely corresponds with the equally scarce Citizen "D", which has an identical but yellow plate case/lugs, same movement and is ink stamped "4068". Original mesh band clamped at 3 points on the lugs and covered them.
Blue dial with 3 diamonds and no second hand. Watch is small for a mens model of the period, measuring 33.2mm counting lugs and 28mm across not counting crown. I had a heck of a time finding a band that would work, and ended up with a Edelstahl expansion band with clamp on lug ends.
Ad material is from 1971 Linebook 177. If you look closely, the ends of the lugs are visible under the band.
1970 Beau Brummell "AZ" in excellent condition and keeping time. Definitely a "first see" for me.
