1941 or 1942??? Double date stamp? Two tone, rose gold Senator.

I just picked this up.... seriously nicest thing I've found yet not refurbished.  Dial is great.... case is smoking goood... and the combination of the rose gold case and the dial is fantastic... it maybe hard for me to let this one go away...

But... are you guys seeing what I'm seeing on this movement?  I see the astrick (1941)  and right next to it... the anchor (1942)!?  Is this something common in Senators?  I guess this is the first one I've had so...

Also... what Senator do I have here with this dial?

Muchas gracias!

I have seen this on many Bulova movements and have never quite worked out why. My only guess is that the movement was made one year, cased the next and they double stamped it. So I guess you could say this watch was put together at the turn of  1942.  I have exactly the same model being refurbed at the moment so when it comes back i'll check for the date stamps to see if it is a "thing" with this model

The only ad  I've seen on the Senator is a 1947 ad showing the Senator A.  I can't tell the color of the dial, but it'a a 1-12 dial like yours. My Senator is a 1939 with an expoding dial & I'm just happy I found the name.
