Looking for NOS Accuquartz watch band

Submitted by Bob Bruno on December 22, 2010 - 12:06pm

I'm looking for a new old stock Accuquarts watch band. If anyone has a source please let me know.

I saw one ugly one on ebay for $125.00.

Wayne, Thanks for the info. After seeing the prices I'm going to have to wait untill after xmas. The band costs all much as much as what I paid for the watch!!

Mark , your probably right they are the same except for the name on the inside of the strap. I should take your advise and get a nice new strap and just change the buckle, but that little detail would probably drive me crazy. :-)

Bob,

Ha! I bought 3 used straps to get one 50's style Bulova buckle I wanted. Turns out one of the other Buckles was a vintage Accutron White Gold filled, rare. Sold it for 2x more than what I paid for the 3 old straps, 2 were marked Accutron. Then sold one of the straps, a Genuine Croc, for My original investment. Better return than the Stock market - We're all crazy.

: )

Bob,

I'm guessing You're a little disappointed in the scales standing up on the original strap? Could You treat the strap with some Mink oil so they lay down again? Lay the strap out flat and apply the oil in the natural direction of flow..... just a thought.

No Mark it's more that just that. If you look close at the pins/ lugs you can see the leather is wearing through.
