I inherited this watch from my grandmother, and am curious as to what exactly is the watch called. Im also curious about its value. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
This should be listed in the database. Would You please add the watch as a 1940 unknown for now? it's a wonderful piece.
I recently identified a similar rare model, the Baxter, but this is slightly different. Both seem to be variants of the Senator model from the same time period. If this is original it would blow a theory I have about hand color and dial numeral color needing to match to be authentic out of the water. Do You know if Your Grandmother bought the watch new?
Both the Baxter and the Senator are in the database, simply use the search.
I have been searching for a while now as I have one too. there is a post in here somewhere about it. No luck so far. http://www.mybulova.com/node/1036
Hmmm, very interesting so far. So this is then a rare watch Im assuming? Does anyone know the approximate value of it? I plan on putting it up for sale because it is not my interest and would be best with someone who can appreciate more than I can.
I have no idea if my grandmother bought it new or not. It was 1 of about 10 old watches she gave me.
Thanks for the info so far and I will add it to the database as 1940 unknown.
Ok sounds good. I can send you better pictures to your email if youd like.
When I turn the knob I can hear a clicking but none of the needles move. When I pull the knob out a bit and turn it the two needles both move. The longer needle or something else in the watch might be bent because the longer needle catches the smaller needle half the time when Im turning the knob.
I do not think it runs because the time is always the same.
The back is silver in color so Im assuming it is stainless. It also has numbers etched on the bottom: 1206183
