where do i find name of my bulova watch i know its gold but dont know what to look for type

You will first have to find out what year it was made, look for a date code on the back of the watch. The information tab at the top of the page will explain what the date codes are.
You may have to open up the back of the watch, prior to 1948 the codes were stamped on the movement.
Once you have determined the age, there are many watches in the database and old watch ad's in the information section to compare to.
Post a picture of your watch, movement info and date code, there are many members here that can help.
