This guy just got $345 for an albeit very minty Academy Award.... but stuck it in an old Bulova Directors box and called it an Academy Award Director.... heh. At least that's what it looks like.

Hey Plains, I've watched this guy very closely and his work is "Superb" and his restored watches consistently fetch BIG BUCKS!! A lot of them, not that rare sell for over $500.00. He had a batch (about 5 or 6) just a few weeks ago that when the listing period ended all had sold and he was over 3 grand for the week. I'm definitely in the wrong business!!
Sorry plains, the dial refinish job is a very poor one and the case is not at all even close. It does not belong to this watch at all, hence the low price you paid. I saw this one and took a PASS. We can discuss details if you wish. Ask a question on my ebay watches and I'll send you my e-mail addy.
