1943 Time King "A" ?

Interesting old watch, 21J 7AP movement stamped with a X, 42-51 BB catalog lists a X2120 crystal that will fit it, 21.2mm X 17.7mm flat bezel named Time King "A"

Sure, why not? as a previously unknown / un-named Model in basic White with Gilt, Time King 'A' makes perfect sense IMO.

Nice!

Looks identical.

Yes it sure does, Time King "A" is just a guess and the only crystal that I could find to fit it. The other 2 late 30's Time Kings in the database share the same movement, but that is about all.

HMMM... Then it's almost certainly either the "Time King A..." (Or less likely the "Broadcaster!?" Which I suspect is then a 17J model???)  The 1939 "Time King" I ID'd, is also a 21J !

Then I show the following crystal specs. for the two models:

MODEL

GS

SUC

BB

Broadcaster, Time King "A"
1
CMX324-1

RMS124-15
2
CMX2120 178

I wonder if the one that Jerin just added would be the Broadcaster?? It has a 17J 7AP movement in it.

We may have solved another Bulova mystery....

Greg,

Well the next "Broadcaster" looks akin to an AVIATOR or STAMFORD esque (Tonneau shaped) case... and the prior (21J) Time King shared the same case as the (17J?) Broadcaster (i.e. wear the same glass+) so I would wager that to be the case... (Punn intended...)
