1935 Lady Ambassador?

Submitted by plainsmen on October 18, 2011 - 6:57pm

The 4AF, 7 Jewel movement shows a "Triangle" date symbol indicating 1935.

This looks like it's a set to me.  First time I've seen a Ladies case like this.

What ya think boys?  Do we have a Lord and Lady Ambassador set here?

Thought maybe that... this one is 7 Jewels though...  Gilda is two-toned.  So... while it could be the exact same watch... could have a different name because of the case color as we've seen in so many of the watches of the mid 30's.

Hi Becky   Did you enter it into the database under ad a watch?  Then folks can see and comment.  Picture (s) required I think....

Plains, I'm pretty sure I've got the same Ladies but in all gold? Probably has a different name though, because this ad only specifies the "two-toned" case.

Irregardless, makes a fine looking set!!!

Jerin - they do look nice walking down the aisle together don't they? The hash marks though, on the Ambassador (the one you keep forgetting to send me) the marks are part of the bracelet, on the Ladies, they're part of the case......I do like the Gilda ID, but for the TuTone. I'd like to see one in color.

Lord? No way, Bulova was a democratic republic (President, Senator, Banker, Treasurer) aint' no royalty around here

(yeah, I know - HIS EXCELLENCY)
