I found this watch after clearing things out of my great grandmother's house after she passed away. What I have learned so far is that it is a La Petite watch, has 23 jewels, and is marked L7 (which I believe means it was manufactured in 1957). I haven't been able to find pictures of this specific watch anywhere online. Is it a rare model, or am I not looking in the right places? Any additional information would be great.
We would need some detailed pictures of the watch itself and any more info regarding markings on the movement to begin looking for an ID. The La Patite line ran over a few production years and had many different models, rare? could be ............. but maybe not at all.
Sorry, I had trouble adding the photos here so I had to upload them to photobucket. I wanted to add that the back says "10k rolled gold" and "V20972". When I took of the back of the case, the inside reads "5th ave New York". It has small diamonds on the front, it's a wind-up watch and has a stretch band.
Is there 2 diamonds or more? Looks like 2 to me and 10k Rolled gold tells us that it is a more common mass produced model. The rare ones had many more diamonds and the cases were solid gold. I've located an ad in the database that looks like a match. Try page 8 ad # 35
. It's dated 1958 but could be a viable maybe.

It looks sort of similar, the band is different though (maybe they offered a different band?). There are 2 small diamonds, one at the top and one at the bottom.
The inside says "Bulova, Fifth Ave, New York" with some other numbers hand etched in. I think it says 65Mb12GMS? and 68MB88?

I'm pretty certain the 58 ad is a match. The band may not match but I think the watch head itself does.If you open 2 screens and put the ad side to side with your picture you can compare the details alot easier then going back and forth between 2 pages. You could also just print the ad and compare it to the watch itself.
