If you got the watch and camera out, a shot of the case back and inside case back aint a bad thing either.

Welcome, Bulova did'nt use this movement much in the 70's did they? It runs well & keeps pretty good time.

There isn't an 8EA in our movement database, known watch DB, unknown DB nor listed on Dr Ranfft's site.  Wish I knew the date range for the BXW Swiss to USA import code- Sure it was in place up to 1965 at least. No BXW.  First case character a letter.  Germany on bezel.  ....and regardless if dial is Bulova or Non-Conforming, trying to think of an advertised green dial by Bulova....if you don't count 1972 ad from database w/ Caravelle dial below:

Sorry Will didnt understand your message, Did you mean # 8EA or NO 8EA? Thanks

There are 2 movements on ebay now that I can read the date and both are 1972. So the 8EA was around for a least 3 years.

8EA caliber not #  My bad.  I edited those two confusing workds in my comment above. It even confused me

BTW, of the 3 8EA's on ebay all three are Bulova Dior dials.

Thanks for the info, the Caravelle in the photo does look to be same in color. In person the dial reflexs sparkles. I bought it because I havnt seen too many green Bulovas and it was in NOS con. I was searching online to find another and could not find another example. Other then a cash for Gold & Estate Jewerly website had one in a line up and I my curious as to why, the only Bulova with some high end watches.

I thank you fellows for the replys..I have a small collection of Bulova's, they made so many different watches and its fun learning more about them.  I like the Omega line of watches but they passed what is affordable for me & Bulovas are nice. I will have to look up DIOR.
