Looks like you got yourself a Lone Eagle, most likely, or possibly the earlier Conqueror.  Nice find!

Although I did find out the hard way that there is another maker who produced a watch that looks remarkably like that version of LE from a distance.  I can't recall now who the maker was.

I also see a '40s Senator, and possibly a late '40s/early '50s model or two.

Then I would bet it is one also.  We'll look forward to seeing it in the database.

Although not close when it arrived, the pic from which I purchased this first watch showed it "hid" on it's side, under some "other Bulova watches" (listing description-lot of Bulova), and in a shadow.  So what I had hoped to be a Lone Eagle CC , turned out to be just a Trojan.

But this one below right really got me.  Same thing- a Bulova lot- and the darned dail said Bulova, so it was worth a try....Although it had a 1929 Bulova 15J 10AN (mvnt SN 508391)  mvent, the inside case back said "S  Bruner   GoldFilled", so they got me good on the one below.

...now when I look at this case, it looks like it doesn't snap shut like it should, and the hinge may have been replaced....so my first thought is...

"the case back has been replaced at time of hinge pin repairs, and the rest of the case is really Bulova.  That's why it doesn't snap shut correctly or quite fit. They just happen to use a S Bruner Case Back, other than that, it's a 100% Bulova case"   A dreamer like me will grasp at straws trying to find a new  Bulova model....  I'm just now out of denial.....several years later.

One question I was asking myself is: should I have the dial refinished since it has radium or leave it as is ?

I don't have my 5000 ready to show yet... and yes.. I'm going to get mine dial redone.  I really don't want to mess with the radium much.  To stinking dangerous.

Plus... I love the look of a fresh dial.
