recent repair and restoration of my Accutron 214 N0 and Accutron 218 N2 by a member repairman
I recently acquired an Accutron 214 (N0) and an Accutron 218 (N2). I have never owned one. They did not work even with new batteries. I found a member of yours, John V. of Time & Again of Apopka FL online. I took a chance and sent my watches to him for restoration. The entire experience with him was pleasant! He was very professional and thorough, has much expertise, communicative, obviously dedicated. He itemized everything he did, explained his considerable work in detail, even sent me photos of his progress. His price to fix both watches was very reasonable too!
"Bulova Quality" marking
Everything is copied verbatum from the record.
It appears Bulova switch to the “Bulova Quality” marking instead of the Karat marking on the watch cases because they reduced the gold content in the cases and did not want to advertise the reduction.

Nov 13, 1929 Bulova Subsiaries
Everything below is copied verbatum, parenthesis appear in the original record of proceedings from the US Congress June 14, 1930 in reference to a Senate Proceeding November 13, 1929. What is interesting is this point:
Second. Knickerbocker watch Co., Westfield Watch Co., Arrow Jewelry Mfg Co., American Standard Warch Case Co. are listed separately but in reality are nothing but subsidiaries of Bulova Watch Co.

Year codes
I have two Bulova Acutrons day/date up/down watches. Both have M9 date codes on the case back, yet both movements are date-coded N0. Is there any info on why this may have happened, or is this a common occurrence for early-made N0 movements? Or is this a weird coincidence?
Bulova Accutron 218 - Servicing Video
Interesting video to watch. Try it at your own risk though.

Bulova Transistor watch radios
Bulova's apparent first attempt at marrying a wrist watch with something else; as well as a first attempt at a battery operated travel alarm radio. The only mention of this curiosity I find on mybulova is an apparent mention in the 1962 Annual Report (that I was unable to open).
Where do the watches get their names
As I am new to this forum, I am curious to know if there is any literature on how the watch designs got their names? I've noticed different US President names, and other notables. Is there a published book on the company and its history? Thank you for the information.
Man From U.N.C.L.E. Watch
I saw this game in an antiques mall this weekend. The watch caught my eye. This sure looks like a Bulova. The case is a strong match to the Golden Clipper.
