Always love a nice early sold gold Bulova watch and especially those with the exploding number dial.

I think 1921 is too early and would put it at 1922 to match the advert.

Is it possible that this watch started out as one of the "Lady Maxim"'s and then it was changed the #6714, or the Lady Maxim #6714?  Interesting to read.http://www.watchophilia.com/vintage-advertisements/a1918-1929/
