Watch Description

I think we have a 1924 Bulova "6897" that has has some obvious gold work done to change both lugs into a more modern lug.

Really cool engraved dial.

Does it look like a seconds had hole there?

She's sporting the 18K MP case 4 sapphires and two diamonds.

Great eye Plains. That's very well spotted connecting it to a possible Bulova and the 6897 in particular.

Does the top case say anything about platinum?

I didn't see anything at first glance.  Want to say lat one I had say Plat top?  I'll look closer.

I saw this one for sale and thought it was a recased Bulova movement because of the lugs. What is that hole in the dial for? Seems like if it was for a seconds hand it would have a seconds track on the dial.

1924 Bulova 6897 is a good match noting the replaced lugs.
