Watch Description

Took a chance on this exquisite Ladies and I was right!  Another of the very early 6PP movement Bulova ladies in a MP brand case.  This one happens to be a 18 MP K, so 18K solid gold.

This is I believe, the 4th mid 20's ladies Bulova solid gold jeweled MP cased watxh I have in the database.  I'm guessing on the early year date as I don't see a date symbol on the 6PP.

She's regaling 8 sapphires and 4 diamonds on the.  Just a pretty watch.

Unknown for me, but maybe Alex knows.

Now this is a very special one, the 6898, advertised only once in the Saturday Evening Post ad of 19 April 1924. This is the second one I have seen so far. Very special. Can you check if there is a date code on the movement? If the serial number is indeed 55290, there should be an asterisk.

Looked pretty closely and was able to blow up a new pic.  I think I stand corrected on the movements serial.  

Looks like:  35290

And the ooonly thing I see looks remotely like a mark is the circled X maybe?

Thanks for the detail! The 6PP serial numbers run from 26,000 to around 57,000 all with asterisk date code. So we can safely say that the watch is from 1924.

Serial does look like 35290. I would also suspect that it's an asterisk symbol for 1924. You must have robbed the bank for this beauty!
