Many 1924 and beyond Bulova "pocket watch" movements have a date symbol.  Owner says they may see an "O" date symbol. I'm not seeing it. Missing date symbol not uncommon in 1924-27 movements.  The case is signed Bulova Quality.  Case made by Bulova?  If so, do we think the case serial numbers would follow possible first digit to date of production that we are discussing in the early (1921-23) watches?

Unless I am very much mistaken, this is a Bulova movement, not from an ebauche by someone else.

Cool.

Here's the thumbnail of the Red X picture in root record. Don't know why the big version isn't displaying, but I suspect the file name was too general and it's mixing up with other files.

My gut is telling me its mid 1920s. Possiblly a "Prince of Wales".

Stephen, the case serial numbers between your Prince of Whales (1659162) and subject unknown (1659068) are VERY close in sequence.

In Stephen's watch record, we have similar watch ID'ed as a "Prince of Whales"  The ad below is used in root record of Stephen's record.

Too bad about the non-working second photo in root record. Below is the thumbnail for subject watch.

Hard to say 100%, but it certainly does look like the same watch. I thought maybe there was some dial variation, but really hard to tell.

OK I'm now thinking 1926 based on the second digit in the serial number.
