Very excited to bring this one on board...I didn't even clean it lol.

1926 Pater

Matches the 2 in the database and the ad shown in the first one

The leather band is very old but I don't know how old

This will be the oldest watch in my collection by 2 years

Oh yeah....the dustcover frame is in place, just the clear plastic piece is missing

Wonderful!  I felt that way when I got my Baroness.  I am going to go by the case date.

But the Triangle date code on the movement trumps the case date doesn't it ??

It is not a hard and fast rule as of yet.  Some like to go with the latest date and some like to go with the case as the anchoring/permanent part of the watch.  I like to go with the case, especially on these older ones.

I lean towards dating by the case s/n as well.

Supposing that movement is a replacement then we can ID as a 1925 Bulova Pater, noting that it may have also been sold in 1926 if the movement is original.
