dial has been professionally refinished in a ‘Butler’ finish

the case has been repolished

Yep, 1926 is Ambassador and nice to see the correct hands for 1926 as well.

Nice, but you should have had the hands relumed to match the redial. If you restore a dial, restore the hands as well as the cost is minimal ( about $7.00 ). Really nice watch you've added to the database

Well, he should have done the hands as well. No biggy, the dial refinish is excellent and at least the hands are original. Still a real looker and I'll bet you get compliments on it.

I'd say Ambassador to. 1925 saw the predecessor the Diplomat.

Great Ambassador.  Both Bulova and American Standard on the case, along with the earlier "dust-tite" patent date.  Nice one!!!
