





got that cut corner design of 1927 Lone Eagle's too, but I think the idea is that the conqueror corner design changed sometime in 1926, and the model name changed to LE in May 1927. I'm not sold on the idea that the new corner design is based on an "eagle's head" since we see it here on a 1926 watch long before Lindburgh's flight. I doubt they would retool for this design up to a year earlier than the flight hoping for a future successful flight by Lindburgh. ...and if I squint, I almost see Elvis if not an styleized eagle.

That corner enamel design goes back even further Will.

has the same design, two years before the LE.
EDIT:- We also see in trademarks for the LE, first usage of the Lone Eagle name on June 13th. 1927, three weeks after the flight, so the model name could not have changed in May.
Question about the 10P Movement: I have two of them. Both run well. However, there are no dial screws on this movement. The dial posts go through a type of sleeve located between the plate and the barrel bridge. Neither of mine have both the sleeves....in fact only one has a broken sleeve and that's why I know they exist. The question is: Does this movement have these dial post sleeves, and if so, what other movement would also have them? I need to find some....I doubt they are around as NOS parts. What could a possibly use to substitute for them (any ideas Rev Rob?)? Thanks for your thoughts and advice. Rob
