Watch Description

This is a rare Bulova, and a must have for any serious watch collection. This watch was made in 1926 in anticipation of Charles Lindbergh's (The Lone Eagle) solo flight across the Atlantic. Bulova named this model watch the "Lone Eagle" The 14K white gold filled case is immaculate, with enamel designs on the cut corners, and engravings all around the bezel. The beautiful dial has been restored to it’s original luster, with luminous numerals and hands. The hinged case back has no personal engravings. The 17 Jewel caliber 10 AN movement has been serviced and is running great and keeping good time, and is additionally protected by a dust cover.

Congrates Bob! Did you stay up all night and look at it? Let me know when you get tired of it.

Thanks Wayne I would have stayed up all night and looked at it but I'm the Christmas chef. Got a lot of prep work to do. I'll be glad when the holidays are over so I can get back to my watches. :-)

Fantastic looking watch.... great pictures.  I like that reflective surface pic... I may have to find something like that for pics...

Great watch Bob!

The batch of 5000 movements were likely ordered and manufactured in 1926.

I'm not sure how long it takes to manufacture 5000 movements, ship, case and sell but I'd say 6 months+

Pretty big order to manufacture these in 1927 for sale in May of that same year.
