I have had watch sitting in my drawer for a long time. Wanted to find more about it. Found the advertisement on this web page that described it. The Saturday evening Post-Jan 21, 1928.The name is Adoree, (I believe). Found there are two versions of this watch-one with ribbon strap with clasp-one with metal strap. Mine "had' the ribbon strap. The case is 24K white gold, 6 sapphires and 4 diamonds decorating the front. The back has a decorative type scroll circling around it. Inside back, at the top has the letters, ?P?AT and date Jun 10 192?. Next says 24K followed by unreadable marking then numbers 823. The the serial number 8171162. I think maybe the the case was made by someone other than the Bulova Watch Co. The watch works has the name Bulova Watch Co. There is a Cresent Moon-indicating it was made 1928. Also the words Fifteen 15 Jewels.
Was also wondering if it possible to have the face of the watch cleaned.
I also posted this information and pictures hoping to help fill the profile on Bulova watches.

This is also the first example we have entered into the database, so thank you for adding.

9 years 1 monthDear Joy, welcome to the myBulova site. Your watch is indeed an Adoree from 1928, a beautiful example of an Art Deco ladies' watch. Cleaning the dial is very easy and can vary from repainting it by a professional (best result) to simply cleaning it with a cotton tip (quick result).
