Mark, there is plenty of evidence and its right there in the IHC185 post and the popular ad that Wayne have posted.
The ads clearly shows the same box as well as a watch with the two-tone colored band.
It would take a lot to covince me otherwise, but IMO the watch and box shown in the IHC post is the same watch and box shown in Waynes ad above and below.
How many other models have we seen or know of that match this design that are called something different?
I have one that matches the ad above with applied gold numbers and radium coated modern style hands, the date code is a square shield (1931) and it is a 17J 10AN serial# 691320.
Could the earlier models have a different engraving pattern than the later models?? We have 2 ads showing different hands and dials, no reason the engraving didn't change also.
This is a very healthy discussion, and IMO moves you folks towards at least partial agreement on an ID. This is the beauty of the three star ID system. Sometimes bad data are better than no data, and when noted as tentative or close, help rule out other things which are just plain wrong.
