Another beauty from 1930, " Conquerer ". Supporting ad snippet dated 1928 .  There is a far better 1929 ad that shows case detail far better than this but I still cannot upload photo's unless it's the primaries when adding a watch.  Sorry Folks, but enjoy just the same.

Ok it could be 1930. The 0 certainly looks like a mistruck 9 to me. Just me.

See the red circle and how it matches the other nine. Then again it could just be a scratch on the back case or crystal. Closer inspection would say for sure Shawn.

A thought I have is that the Bulova casing department hand stamped the first digit which corresponded to the year of production or assembly. This would explain why we see so many mis-struck first numbers

8 or even a 6 from where I'm sitting.

Gents,  there is absolutely no doubt that the serial # of the case is " 0109595 ". There is no issue with the 1st digit being mis struck. I've replaced the photo of the caseback with a clearer shot.

I have also posted a 1930 Conqueror awhile back...with an "0" first case digit and a 1930 movement code.  Interestingly, my dial also has the open "9" like the subject watch.
