Watch Description

I don't know anything about watches, except what I've read here the past few months.  I received this watch in my late mother's belongings.  I believe it may have belonged to her mother, as my mother was born in 1935.  This sat in her jewelry box my entire life.  My sisters put it in the throw away pile but I thought it was worth holding on to.  I can't find much of anything online about the Diana, which I believe may be from 1930.  Wondering if it is rare and if there is value?  I haven't been able to identify the band, other than it says Kreisler Quality Gold Cont 025 USA.  Thanks for any info, this seems to be a very informative site.  Willing to sell.

Oh, forgot to ask but could you update the Movement Model, 5AP, and the jewel count in the record? Thanks.

Just did. Am I also correct in changing the year to 1930 based on the date symbol?

Luanne, inside the case back there should also be a factory stamped serial#. The first digit should be the case's year of manufacture. Can you enter the case serial# too? Thanks

Yes please, its certainly matches the advert year of publication too which is great.

Oh and you should now be able to see the case serial number.

What Lisa is saying on her site is that the serial # on the case is not that reliable for dateing a watch and that hers has no serial # at all. We can't say for sure, this an experieced opinion from a knowledgeable hard core Bulova collector. Lisa know's her Bulova's.

Apologies I missed the bit about it bring solid gold. This seems to be the case as seen on a number of early watches.
